Chapel Activities

The Post Chapel is located at 1776 Ditto Ave. The phone number is (301) 619-7371.

  • Catholic services are Sundays at 9:15 a.m. and a Saturday Mass at 5:30 p.m.

  • Protestant services are Sundays at 11 a.m.

  • Catholic Women of the Chapel meet the first Tuesday of the month at 6 p.m. for recitation of the Rosary, a light dinner and meeting.

  • Protestant Women of the Chapel meet Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. and Thursdays from 9:30 to 11:15 a.m. for Bible study and fellowship.

  • The Chapel youth group meets Wednesdays from 6 to 9 p.m.

    Army Birthday Ball

    The annual U.S. Army Birthday Ball will be June 14 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, 801 Mount Vernon Place NW, Washington, D.C.

    Tickets are $80. A limited number of discounted tickets are available to military E-6 and civilian GS-7 and below on a first-come first-served basis.

    Required attire for military is the Dress Blue or Mess Dress uniform or the Class A uniform with white shirt and bow tie; civilians should wear formal evening apparel.

    Childcare will not be provided.

    Golf Tournament

    AFCEA is sponsoring a golf tournament during the Spring Research Festival.

    The event is scheduled for May 13 at 1 p.m. at the Whiskey Creek Golf Course.

    SAME Awards

    The Society of American Military Engineers is hosting their annual scholarship and awards dinner at Ceresville Mansion in Frederick, Md.

    The dinner will be held on May 13. Col. Mary R. Deutsch is the Keynote Speaker and she will highlight Military Engineering: Past, Present, and Future.

    Celebrate Frederick

    Celebrate Frederick is sponsoring their first Pangaea Festival May 10 from 11a.m. to 6p.m.

    Pangaea Frederick will be held on the western end of Frederick in the Westridge Square Shopping Center parking lot, in front of Burlington Coat Factory, on Route 40 West (the Golden Mile).

    The event will feature food, vendors, entertainment on a center stage, arts and music from every culture that is apart of Frederick.

    Mother-Daughter Banquet

    The Chapel is sponosoring a Mother-Daughter Banquet May 16 at 6 p.m. at the Holiday Inn, 999 W. Patrick St.

    A $10 donation is suggested. The deadline to RSVP is May 10.

    Glenn Miller Orchestra

    Glenn Miller Orchestra will be playing at the Maryland Theater, 21 S. Potomac St., Hagerstown, Md. May 27 at 7 p.m. The cost is $25-30.

    Linganore Winery & Caribbean Festival

    There will be a winery trip May 24 from 11:30 a.m.-6:30 p.m. to Linganore Winery.

    The bus departs Rally Point Recreation Center, 1529 Freedman Dr. at 11:30 a.m.

    The cost is $15. The event is free for ages 18 and under.

    Registration starts now until May 22.

    Understanding Market Trends

    A certified Buyer’s Agent will present and discuss current real estate market trends May 20 at 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event will be held at the Community Support Center, Classroom 1, 1520 Freedman Dr.

    The event will be May 20 at 9 a.m.- 4 p.m. at the Community Support Center, Classroom 6, 1520 Freedman Dr.

    This event is free and open to entire community. Register by May 16.

    Special Needs Support Group

    There will be information about the new EFMP respite care program. The event is May 28 at 11:30-12:30, Community Support Center, Family Readiness Room, 1520 Freedman Dr. It is free and open to everyone. Light refreshments will be served.
