The Health and Wellness Center at Andrews Air Force Base, Md., offers the Tobacco Cessation Program to active duty members and their families, Department of Defense civilian employees and retirees. Six consecutive 90-minute classes enable smokers and smokeless tobacco users to learn the methods to quit tobacco usage and substitute behavior for tobacco use during times of stress, identify their readiness to change their behavior and develop long-term strategies to stay tobacco free. Participants must attend all sessions. Class dates are May 22, 29 and June 5, 12, 19, 26. Medication and nicotine replacement are available for TRICARE beneficiaries.
