Nutrition class

A nutrition class is scheduled for Friday at 9 a.m. and May 28 at 2 p.m. in the Health Promotion classroom. The class will focus on general nutrition, healthy eating, and weight loss.

Pregnancy nutrition class

A nutrition class is scheduled for May 22 at 1 p.m. All pregnant ladies and new moms are invited to Nutrition During Pregnancy in the Health Promotion classroom. For more information, call (703) 784-3780.

MicroFit assessment

Personal trainers will provide you with a free, personalized fitness⁄lifestyle assessment and will develop an individualized exercise program for you. For an appointment, call (703) 784-2162 or (703) 432-0593.

Senior chair exercise class

Senior chair classes are every Friday at 10:30 a.m. Teaches seniors how to condition and strengthen by working in and out of chairs using free weights, tubing and balls. Focuses on improving independence.

Wear comfortable clothes and athletic shoes.

Commissary tour

The Semper Fit Center is offering a free commissary tour May 27 at 7:30 a.m. Learn how to shop for healthy choices! Go aisle-by-aisle with us, discuss healthy food options. For more information, contact the Semper Fit dietitian at (703) 784-3780.

Free blood pressure checks

The Semper Fit Center offers free blood pressure checks Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Group X yoga class

A Group X yoga classes are offered in the Health Promotion classroom Mondays and Thursdays at 5 p.m.

Relax with yoga

Classes scheduled every Tuesday and Thursday at 11:30 a.m. Beneficial for people of all ages and fitness levels. Come stretch, strengthen and relax. Bring a towel and wear comfortable workout clothes.
