The RecruitMilitary Career Fair sponsored by RecruitMilitary will take place in Baltimore, May 29, 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. at M&T Bank Stadium, home of the Baltimore Ravens.
RecruitMilitary urges all job seekers who have military backgrounds to attend – veterans who already have civilian work experience, men and women who are transitioning from active duty to civilian life, members of the National Guard and reserves and military spouses.
The event will be the 43rd of 104 RecruitMilitary Career Fairs scheduled for 2008. Additional events will take place in Baltimore on Aug. 21 and Nov. 20, and in the D.C. Metro area May 1 and September 11.
Job-seekers will have the opportunity to visit one-on-one with recruiters from an all star team of employers. Already in the line-up are DeVry University, Eaton Aerospace - Conveyance Systems Division, Fitzgerald Auto Mall, Lockheed Martin Corporation, Military Sealift Command, the Military Spouse Corporate Career Network, MVM, Inc., Oldcastle Architectural Products Group, Orkin, Pepco Holdings, the Transportation Security Administration, the Veterans Benefits Administration and Walgreens.

Navy College Graduation Recognition Ceremony
The Navy College Office at NSF Anacostia will host its fourth annual Graduation Recognition Ceremony, June 13 at 10 a.m., aboard the display ship ex-USS Barry on the Navy Yard. Participation in the ceremony is open to those service members who have completed degrees and certifications from August 2007 through June 2008.

Helmsmen Toastmasters

Free home buying workshop
The Naval Support Activity Washington Housing Welcome Center in building 414, Naval Support Facility Anacostia, will conduct a free homebuyers’ workshop May 21, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. All new and repeat homebuyers are encouraged to sign up.
Attendees will hear first-hand from industry experts who discuss the home buying process, from the application to the closing. The workshop covers topics like: knowing when to buy; where to look; what financing options are available; taking advantage of tax write-offs; and how much home can one afford?
